Livestock management software for care and production records

Keep an animal register, record care and production events, and follow up on the work you have scheduled.

A useful livestock record keeps identity, care and production together. AgriDigi supports individual animals and groups or cohorts, with a tag, species, sex, breed, location and optional lineage details. Search the register by tag, name, breed or group, then open the animal record to review its dated event history.

The register covers cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats, poultry and other supported species. Groups are records of a cohort rather than a list of individually identified members. Counts and record totals therefore answer different questions, and the relevant count should be reviewed in its species and group context.

Record care, production and the next follow-up

Record authored health, vaccination and treatment details, including product, batch, dosage, administration route and veterinarian when relevant. Breeding, pregnancy and birth events build the reproductive history. Dated feed, water, weight, movement, purchase, sale, death and production events provide an operational timeline instead of overwriting the previous observation.

Add a follow-up date when another check is needed and mark that follow-up complete when handled. Production events can record milk, eggs, wool, honey or manure where the species and animal status support them. Usable production can optionally add quantity to an existing stock item in its exact unit; feed can optionally consume available stock. Eligible monetary events can create linked financial records.

Example: record treatment and later milk production

  1. Open the correct animal by its tag and verify identity, status and existing warnings.
  2. Record a treatment on its actual date. Enter the veterinarian or product instructions you are using, including any recorded withdrawal end dates; do not infer a treatment from this example.
  3. Set a follow-up date if another visit or check is required. Keep the treatment event in the history and complete the follow-up separately.
  4. When recording milk, enter quantity and unit and choose usable or discarded. Check the recorded withdrawal warning and applicable professional instructions before choosing a disposition.
  5. For eligible usable production, optionally choose an owned stock item with the exact unit. Review the saved event and resulting stock record before entering another event.

The animal retains its treatment and production history, while the follow-up and optional stock change remain identifiable records.

What to review before you use this workflow

  • Only recorded withdrawal dates are checked. They are not medical clearance; use veterinarian and product instructions. AgriDigi does not prescribe a medicine or dosage in this workflow.
  • Identity tags are not casually replaced, and group counts change through recorded events. Corrections can reverse the latest eligible non-birth event while preserving the original audit record.
  • History is loaded in pages. A history CSV exports the loaded events only. Stock-linked production does not create income in that same production entry.

Frequently asked questions

Can I record a flock rather than every bird?

Yes. Group or cohort records allow a count and shared event history. Use an individual record when separate identity and lineage are needed.

Are withdrawal warnings veterinary advice?

No. They reflect dates that were entered into the record. Missing or expired recorded dates do not prove that a product is safe to use or sell.

Can I change a mistaken event?

The latest eligible non-birth event can be corrected with a reason. Its original payload stays visible, eligible linked changes are reversed, and a replacement event can then be recorded.
